Kia ora from the Auckland Design Office (ADO)
We are a newly established team within Auckland Council dedicated to supporting Auckland as we become a world-class, design-led city. We’re passionate about delivering design excellence that will benefit all Aucklanders, and we’re working towards making Auckland’s streets, neighbourhoods, homes and public buildings some of the best in the world.
The Auckland Design Office grew out of the former Built Environment Unit, and is made up of a combination of urban designers, architects, landscape architects and planners. We have expertise in all things design, from strategic design and master planning to design enabling, design review and place activation. This is where you’ll be able to keep up-to-date with the latest news and upcoming projects from the ADO.

This is a great opportunity to bring life and vitality into the City. Creating living spaces that are functional, environmental aware and with out sounding too much like a hippy, soul supporting is to everyone’s benefit.
The more ideas that can be view, discussed and where merited, incorporated, the better.
